After ten years of building and maintaining computers, designing and installing both wired and wireless networks for homes and small businesses, Monroe Shaw joined Zimmerman Electric in 2006 to add electrical knowledge to his resume. During his fifteen years there, he helped the company move its audio-video division into a more digital and network-based platform. He was responsible for designing, installing, and troubleshooting audio-video, lighting, security, surveillance, and network systems for homes and businesses. His duties also included managing projects, customer service, and leading or training employees during AV projects.

In 2020, Monroe Shaw founded AV Physics as a way to bring his twenty-five years of IT, electrical, and audio-video experience to the homes and businesses of Colorado and beyond.
